The last Baci ceremony I participated in was in November 2008 in Kasi and I was literally down to my last orange good luck string. I was delighted that the first event I walked into, straight off of the plane, was the Baci ceremony of the Cluster Munitions Coalition. Fabulous wishes to have a great meeting, good health!

During a trip to southern Laos I met many people whose lives continue to be shaped by the millions of cluster bombs that were dropped during the war. Their stories are similar to the stories of survivors that I heard in Laos more than 25 years ago.

Legacies of War visited Kenglin village in Savannakhet province during UXO clearance operations. We were able to meet and observe the Handicap International clearance team.

Nov 2 2010

On November 2, 2010, Legacies of War convened a meeting of non-governmental organizations in Laos who receive U.S. government funding for UXO-related work.
