Religious groups in Laos are beginning to mobilize to assist unexploded ordnance survivors. Religions for Peace, Norwegian Church Aid and Lao Buddhism for Development are developing a 2-year plan to assist survivors in the three provinces of Khammoun, Xieng Khouang and Savannakhet. Preliminary plans include skills training, psychological support and meditation. It is encouraging to see the strong networks and values of religious groups mobilizing in this way.
