The Minneapolis/St. Paul area is home to about 37,000 Hmong Americans, one of the largest Hmong populations in the United States, as well as large numbers of Lao Americans. Many non-profit and community-driven organizations dedicated to public health, culture, and education for Southeast Asian American communities are located there, as well as the University of Minnesota.
